Communications Infrastructure Manager I will lead the day to day activities of technician staff and will facilitate the timely resolution of all computer related questions, problems, and requests from end-users.
The Communications Infrastructure Manager I will be responsible for:

Supervising the daily activities of the Communications Infrastructure team, including staff evaluation, hiring, performance management, and staff development. -
Providing strategic direction and technical expertise in communications infrastructure, structured cabling systems, cellular networks, and audiovisual systems. -
Overseeing structured cabling installation projects, ensuring project management resources track tasks, resource requirements, schedules, and budgets while maintaining compliance with hospital construction safety requirements. -
Leading the development and continuous updating of communications infrastructure standards, ensuring understanding among Facilities project managers, architects, engineers, and designers. -
Ensuring compliance with design documents, internal policies, and industry standards while effectively resolving conflicts through collaboration. -
Collaborating with IT technical teams to understand infrastructure needs and designing solutions and standards that align with those needs. -
Producing and maintaining documentation, drawings, and specifications using tools like Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word for technical and operational purposes.
To qualify you must have:
- Bachelor's Degree in the field of Computer Science Programming
- 3 years of experience in related field
- BICSI RCDD, AVIXA CTS or other relevant certifications preferred.
- Working knowledge of general construction principles, specifically with the installation of structured cabling systems and tel/data infrastructure.
- Proficient in the review of Technology, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Architectural drawings (blueprints) to coordinate low voltage and AV system requirements.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
- Able to communicate complex concepts and designs graphically with tools such as Microsoft Visio and PowerPoint. (Work samples will be requested)
- Strong written, verbal and inter-personal communication skills
- Ability to write, read, understand, and interpret technical documents.
- Capable of critical thinking including problem analysis and resolution at both a strategic and a functional level.
- Ability to work independently and on multiple projects at the same time.
- Local candidates are strongly preferred due to the hybrid nature of the role.
