The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary The Mission of the Columbia University Department of Public Safety is to enhance the quality of life for the Columbia community by maintaining a secure and open environment where the safety of all is balanced with the rights of the individual. The Investigator will conduct investigations of reported incidents and crimes on a University-wide basis, including evenings, nights, and weekends; conduct interviews and investigations for other units of the University; and refer cases to outside agencies such as the FBI, Secret Service, and NYPD.
