Job Summary The position is in the Center for Integrative Oncology and Survivorship (CIOS) and the Center for Cancer Prevention and Wellness (CCPW) at the Cancer Institute. Main focus is on breast cancer prevention, cancer survivorship including managing a lifetime clinic, oncology rehabilitation after treatment and sexual health for cancer survivors.Provides primary health care to a specific patient population within the guidelines of written protocols. Follows established nursing standards, procedures, and practices. Accountabilities * Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for individual patients. Incorporates evidence-based research into clinical practice. 28% * Initiates and documents appropriate interventions; evaluates and records patient/family response within practice protocol; prescribes drug therapies per protocol/physician consultation. 20% * Assists physicians and performs procedures as needed; conducts patient assessments and provides physician with information prior to seeing the patient. 15% * Assesses patient/family needs and provides education. 15% * Promotes wellness and recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs. 5% * Promotes/provides staff education. 3% * May supervise the activities of clinical nursing and support staff and mentor new Advanced Practitioners. 4% * Knowledgeable of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements. 4% * Completes patient charge tickets. 2% * Provides case management for oncology clients and their families. 2% * Serves as a resource person for the nursing staff by providing information being studied in clinical trials. 2% Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

Minimum Education Master's Degree-Nursing; Nurse Practitioner Degree Emphasis or Program Certificate equivalent Minimum Experience 1 year-Nursing experience Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses
