L&S 4/104: Openness to Opposing Views (Berkeley Changemaker) is a course that emphasizes the Berkeley Changemaker themes of critical thinking, effective communication, and productive collaboration. The course is fully online-asynchronous. Teaching L&S 110 includes managing communications over bCourses, supervising readers, holding office hours, assigning grades, advising students, and working with disability accommodations and late assignments. The instructor of record for this course is a senate faculty member but the lecturer will serve as the primary point of contact for all aspects of the course. Preferred qualifications: A Ph.D. or equivalent international degree, and experience working with a diverse student population is preferred. College-level teaching experience is preferred.
