Retail Sales Associate - Medical Washington, DC Pay From: $17 per hour MUST: Experienced Retail Sales Associate - Medical 1+ years of professional experience as a Retail Sales Associate - DME/ Durable Medical Equipment 1+ years of professional experience working in retail, sales order processing and packing 1+ years of experience with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) 1+ years of experience with in-person fittings for medical grade stockings, shoes, braces, supports, and mastectomy products Must have strong customer service experience Must have strong verbal and written communication skills Must be detailed oriented, technology savvy and strong mathematical skills Must have previous data entry experience Excellent phone and customer relations skills Experience working with Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid coverage rules Must be able to operate office machinery and Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Must be able to occasionally lift/move items up to 50 pounds Sitting/standing/walking at the desk, in the office, and throughout the facility Scheduling flexibility and ability to work at multiple locations as needed Orthotic Fitter/Mastectomy Fitter/ Diabetic Shoe Fitter Certifications highly preferred 2 Years of College education or equivalent degree or a National certification for Pharmacy Technician DUTIES: Measures customers for proper fit for medical grade stockings, shoes, braces, supports, and mastectomy products Maintains open communication with patients/clients and referral sources Sets up new patient/client files in the computer Verifies private insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid coverage Requests for assignment of benefits, prescriptions, letters of medical necessity, and other required information Maintains Scheduled inventory and returns Maintains fitting rooms in an organized manner Schedules and maintain fitting appointments for Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Respond to customer questions and problems Services walk-in customers Clears the previous day's paperwork and reviews the same for completeness and accuracy Pulls shelf stock to fill orders and re-orders any merchandise that is below par levels or out of stock Communicates problems and concerns with a supervisor which may lead to inaccurate or untimely completion of reimbursement processing Assemble and repair Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Pulls and keys orders into the computer Serves as backup receptionist Demonstrates timeliness, courtesy, and patience when working with patients, customers, and co-workers Maintains possession of facility keys and alarm codes Performs store opening/closing duties Represents the company in a positive and professional manner Performs teamwork among co-workers Light Showroom Cleaning & Maintenance Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
