Qualifications

• A mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing technical background, understanding, or experience.
• A degree in the STEM field is strongly preferred. (Will consider a technical training school diploma or certificate in the STEM field instead of a four-year degree.)
• 2+ years of experience.
• A strong technical aptitude for customer service and interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Must be able to work on ERP computer programs.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software.

Schedule & Pay | Monday - Friday | 8 AM - 5 PM | $26.50 - $29 per hour

Solutions Specialist Job Details

Summary

Direct technical product specification and pricing information to customers with support from the sales, production, and engineering departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain contact with customers about topics that include technical, commercial, and price-based inquiries and topics.
• Perform budgetary and formal bid requests to determine product specifications and bid parameters, qualifications, stipulations, and time frames.
• Participate in the project contract process, from quoting to sale or possible loss, by justifying, recording, and monitoring the projects through the issue of quotations, the influence of customer decision, order entry, product order fulfillment, and after-sales product completion efforts.
• Provide customers with alternative products for consideration.
• Maintain timely and consistent communication with sales personnel regarding the status of pending quotations.
• Secure needed information from customers.
• Draw submittal/approval processes and negotiations.
• Foster relationships with a variety of customers.
• Coordinate with product managers, sales managers, marketing associates, and customers.
