Position Overview: Senior Structural Bridge Engineer II

Location: Celebration, FL

Direct Hire

Salary Range: $150,000 - $230,000

Our client is seeking a Senior Structural Bridge Engineer II to join their team at the FDOT Corridors Program Office (CPO) in Celebration, FL. This is an embedded position reporting to the office five days per week. You will work alongside a team of engineers to support the Moving I-4 Forward program, one of the state's highest-profile projects.

Responsibilities:




  • Provide professional engineering consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of various projects.



  • Develop and evaluate engineering reports, plans, and specifications.



  • Coordinate with project teams, including communication with clients, proposal coordination, marketing, presentations, and other related activities.



  • Prepare specifications, scaled drawings, and proposals; ensure finished plans and materials meet approval standards.



  • Meet with clients to define objectives and requirements for the scope of work.



  • Review the work of junior staff for technical accuracy and provide guidance to other professionals and technicians.



  • Perform quality control reviews, field reviews, and observations of ongoing construction projects.



  • Review and approve scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.



  • Lead discipline or multidisciplinary teams to complete projects and/or manage small teams of direct reports.



Qualifications:




  • Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience.



  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in good standing.



  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances.



  • Proficiency in production software and construction document production.



  • Proven ability to address challenging or controversial issues in a professional and business-like manner.



  • Experience working on parts of major projects or multiple moderate-sized projects, providing technical guidance to junior-level staff.



  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with and build relationships with clients, contractors, team members, and key stakeholders.
