Staffmark has connected with an established accounting company in the heart of Ruston, LA to fill a direct hire role for a Staff Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company that values integrity, teamwork, and professional development.

Requirements:



  • A degree in accounting or a related field
  • Familiar with QuickBooks, Creative Solutions, and Ultra Tax




Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM | Monday - Friday

Salary: $45,000 - $50,000

Key Responsibilities:



  • General accounting duties such as posting to the general ledger, maintaining Excel spreadsheets, data entry using QuickBooks, and payroll processing in a business office setting.
  • Assisting managers with client communications, preparing proposals, reviewing tax returns, conducting tax research, and participating in tax planning.
  • Requires knowledge of trust documents, wills, and business operating agreements, along with mentoring staff accountants and interns.
  • Engage in professional development activities, including training and networking events.
