| Work Location Manteca, CA Position Purpose Under general supervision, the SAP Application Developer provides appropriate automated solutions, recognizes opportunities for technological improvement and optimization. Utilizes business, functional and technical specifications to accurately design, develop, test, implement and enhance corporate applications and databases. Delivers end-to-end support of escalated support requests in accordance with IS service level agreements (SLAs).Essential Duties 
    
 Designs, tests, implements, and maintains complex programs and reports by utilizing business requirements through specifications from IS Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) and various Business Process Owners (BPOs)Applies appropriate methodologies and practices in developing the code, relational databases and database objects and user InterfacesConfirms program operation by conducting tests; modifying program sequence and/or codesTroubleshoots technical issues and identifies modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing business requirements; recommends system controls and protocolsEscalates issues by recognizing severity and impact on users, business processes and other systemsManages time efficiently by resolving urgent requests to meet SLAsProvides users, team members and management with ongoing status of all activities by tracking project tasks, support requests or other activities in appropriate systems of recordUtilizes version control applications to organize and secure all development projects and codeConducts team training sessions on updated and/or modified platforms and applicationsActively investigates new tools and methods to support and improve computing environment by maintaining professional and technical knowledge; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices

 Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent training/experience5 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP within SAP ECC and S/4 HANA environments3 years of hands-on experience in SAP Business Objects including Universe design and development3 years of utilizing Microsoft SQL server (or equivalent)3 years experience with structured development methodologyExperience in SAP Fiori and BTP (Integration suite, CAP) is a plus

 Strong experience in SAP ABAP development, including classical and object-oriented programming, with hands-on experience in Reports, Enhancements, BADIs, BAPIs, Smart Forms/Adobe Forms, and IDoc processingExperience with S/4 HANA development features such as Core Data Services (CDS) views, AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures), OData services, and Behavior Definitions under the ABAP RESTful Programming Model (RAP)Experience with SAP Business Objects, including Universe Design Tool (UDT), Information Design Tool (IDT), and Web Intelligence (WebI) report developmentExperience with SAP Integration suite and exposure to cloud application programming on the SAP BTP platform is a plusExperience writing and supporting SQL, including queries, views, functions, stored procedures, and TVP'sAbility to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise in technical tools and applicationsExperience using help desk ticketing software, incident troubleshooting and escalation processesUnderstand emerging technology and end-user needsProficient working knowledge of Windows operating systems, MS SQL Server queries/objectsProficient in working with version control software, including understanding common branching strategies and workflows

The pay range for this position is $118,657.43 to $137,307.36. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
