Firmware Developer - OTA Category: Engineering Employment Type: Contract Reference: BH-384076 Firmware Developer - OTA Job Summary: We are looking for a Software Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Rust programming for embedded systems development. This role focuses on building secure, scalable embedded software in an RTOS environment as part of a next-generation electric vehicle platform. Experience with OTA firmware update systems is a plus but not required. Key Responsibilities: Develop embedded software in Rust for RTOS-based systems within connected vehicle platforms Contribute to system-level features including secure boot, communication interfaces, and update handling Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with in-vehicle and cloud-connected systems Support debugging, validation, and performance optimization in constrained embedded environments Implement secure and reliable embedded code following industry best practices Required Qualifications: Proven experience with Rust programming in embedded systems (Rust is required) Solid understanding of RTOS environments and real-time constraints Familiarity with embedded development tools, communication protocols, and hardware interfaces (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C) Strong debugging skills and comfort working close to hardware Experience with CI/CD practices in embedded workflows Preferred Qualifications: Experience with OTA firmware update systems in embedded or automotive platforms Background in the automotive domain (EV, IVI, ADAS) Familiarity with secure firmware delivery, cryptographic signing, and rollback protection Understanding of system observability and telemetry for embedded platforms Estimated Min Rate: $80.00 Estimated Max Rate: $100.00 Note: Any pay ranges displayed are estimations.
