As an Analytics Administrator you would be working as part of BI Analytics & Strategy group providing expertise and administration services for our Analytics Cloud platform. This position will report to the Analytics Enablement portfolio leader responsible for multiple data management technology platforms therefore offers great opportunities to grow in the data analytics space.

As a core administrator, you should be comfortable working independently as well as with a team to monitor and optimize usage and other application level metrics of our analytics platform.

This role requires you to have hands-on experience administering and implementing advanced analytics solutions using Tableau Cloud. An ideal candidate is an efficiency advocate and is knowledgeable of emerging BI technologies/industry trends and applies them into day to day activities.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Tableau & other analytics Platform Administration including but not limited to license management, defining procedures for workbook promotion, managing object security & permissions for RBAC.

  • Monitor the performance of the analytics platform (Data Catalog and Tableau) and regularly report on platform metrics.

  • Manage multiple data connections and data sources, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible.

  • Define and advance the adoption of platform 'best practices' across the company covering Data Catalog and Tableau.

  • Regularly reviews and maintains the organization and security of the objects in the platform.

  • Supports and establishes standards for platform usage and maintains user knowledgebase.

  • Reviews troublesome workbooks and data sources and provides suggestions to users for improvements.

  • Manage users, groups, permissions, and content. Communicate new features and provide training and support.

  • Interfaces with BI developers and provides consulting services on platform capabilities and specific guidelines on the usage of live vs extracted data sources.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Excellent Communication, Documentation and Presentation skills

  • Focused Tableau Cloud administration experience and Tableau experience.

Technical Knowledge:

  • In-depth experience with design & development of Workbook Dashboards, and Data Sources through Tableau.

  • Proficiency with Tableau REST, embedding APIs and integration capabilities.

  • Must have hands-on expertise with end to end automation & building frameworks for tasks like deployment of data sources/workbooks , logging & alerts and content monitoring via scripting (Python preferred).

  • Advance knowledge of Tableau Cloud platform and functionalities such as Tableau Bridge, Tableau Pulse, Connected apps .

  • Knowledge of data governance and security practices.

  • Experience managing Tableau users, groups, and content.

  • Ability to recommend best practices of development and critique design approaches

  • Sees the big picture and is fully aware of technology and business directions.

  • Optimizes the use of all available technical resources.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $83,000.00-121,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
