The Alaka'ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a TEMPEST/ IT Compliance Specialist to support our government customer out of Maui, Hawai'i.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as the IT Asset Manager (ITAM).
Perform annual inventory for IT Asset Management.
Utilize automated identification technology (AIT) to assist in property accountability for all DPAS-managed IT Assets.
Perform related Property Custodian tasks for managing IT Assets identified by the AF Equipment Control Office (AFECO) and Functional Equipment Control Office (FECO).
Ensure removal and approved degaussing/destruction procedures of hard drives prior to turn-in to DLADS.
Serve as the Base Software License Manager (BSLM).
Responsible for maintaining, renewing, receiving, and distributing all essential software licenses for operations.
Serves as the unit level focal point for managing the installation, coordination and removal of software on IT assets. Generates requests for, or provides validation of, software to be installed or removed from unit systems.
Manages all software licenses and warranties owned by the organization.
Coordinates all enterprise software and warranty acquisitions through the COR.
Ensures enterprise software and warranty purchase is completed prior to enterprise software expiration.
Establishes accountability of SaaS licenses per COR request, if they meet accountability requirements.
Establishes accountability of software licenses upon receipt of the invoice, maintains accountable records for the life of the asset and retains the records and National Archives and Records Administration's (NARA) standards.
Ensures unused or underutilized software licenses are identified to the COR for redistribution, reutilization, or disposition to comply with Executive Order 13589, Promoting Efficient Spending.
Identifies locally owned software that does not have associated licenses, assembles proofs-of-purchase, and requests replacement licenses from publishers, as needed. Develops plan of action to obtain compliance within 120 days.
Performs annual and out-of-cycle software inventories and submits to COR as requested.
Conducts annual non-enterprise software inventory, utilizing autodiscovery tools when possible.
Conducts annual inventory for enterprise software that is installed on standalone devices.
Submits annual inventory of base software licenses to COR for approval and provides approved inventory to Property Custodian.
Serve as the TEMPEST Manager.
Ensure TEMPEST (formerly referred to as EMSEC) requirements are met in areas where classified information is processed. Fulfill the TEMPEST Manager Role and oversee/train the alternate TEMPEST Manager.
TEMPEST Assessments & Inspections. Submit TEMPEST assessments within the timelines required to the Certified Technical TEMPEST Authority (CTTA) as required by AFSSI and DoD guidance. Perform TEMPEST inspections after installation, but before operation of any new equipment. Correct all TEMPEST inspection deficiencies and request a re-inspection. Obtain and maintain the current certification memorandum provided by the CTTA.
Annual Re-Assessment. Conduct, at a minimum, an annual TEMPEST inspection of all areas where classified information is processed, to include signal lines that are used to handle or process classified information.
Modifications & Updates. Review all signal line and equipment installations and modifications in all areas that process classified information to ensure compliance with TEMPEST standards.
Maintain current diagrams and drawings for all classified processing areas. Correct TEMPEST discrepancies as directed by the CTTA and notify the government PM or 15 SPSS designee of any TEMPEST vulnerabilities that may affect classified operations.
Post TEMPEST Inspection. Review all installation, removal, or equipment modification schemes for potential vulnerabilities and notify the ISSM of vulnerabilities identified, if any. Implement required countermeasures and maintain as-applied or as-installed.
Provide assistance for TEMPEST assessments, tests, inspections and certification activities.
Classified Equipment Inventory. Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all equipment that processes or handles classified information in support of TEMPEST efforts.
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- DoD 8140 IAT Level 2 Certified
- Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college or university (*Preferred)
- TEMPEST(EMSEC) Manager Course (*Preferred)
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have TS/SCI clearance.
