Job Summary

Review requests for proposals to identify and assist the proposal team in developing responses. Work with internal organizations to determine anticipated labor and overhead rates, material requirements, equipment costs, and possible bid strategies.

Job Responsibilities
  • Review requests for proposals to identify and assist the proposal team in developing responses
  • Lead the preparation of price proposals ranging from complex to simple
  • Ensure compliance with DRS' internal pricing proposal process
  • Interface with fellow Pricing Analyst, other capture members, and outside vendors/suppliers to develop cost inputs
  • Support the development of compliant Basis of Estimates (BOEs)
  • Analyze estimates against previous cost experience and recommend adjustments
  • Support contract negotiations
  • Provide guidance to the team and senior management in the execution of new business cost proposals including providing counsel on RFP, FAR, CAS and disclosure compliance issues
  • Establish and coordinate schedules, monitor and escalate problems
  • Assist with price strategy, risk assessment, business case analysis, and preparation/presentation of management briefings
  • Support development of Cost and Price Volumes
  • Develop cost artifacts supporting Certified Cost and Pricing Data, DFARS and FARs requirements
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
Secondary Accountabilities
  • Support Audit requests
  • Support make/buy decisions
  • Support review of customer responses and reply to responses
  • Assist and mentor Junior Pricing Analyst
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, engineering, mathematics or another related field with +8-years of directly related experience
  • Experience in a DoD contracting environment
  • Proficiency with MS Office Applications
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to interpret government proposals, requirements, and other complex documents
  • Understanding different contract types: Firm, Fixed Price (FFP), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Cost Plus Award Fee (CPAF), Cost Plus Incentive Fee (CPIF), Time and Material (T&M)
  • In-depth experience developing competitive price proposals
  • Experience with ProPricer
  • Experience developing customer required excel pricing models
  • In-depth experience developing compliant Basis of Estimates (BOEs)
  • Familiarity with different cost estimating methods
  • Familiarity with FAR/DFAR/CAS and Certified Cost and Pricing Data requirements

The expected pay scale for this position is $90,673/year - $161,884/year. Should the level, location, or scope of the position change during the hiring process, the pay scale may be modified accordingly.
