Senior Scrum Master

BigBear.ai is seeking a Senior Scrum Master to support the digital transformation of an international customer's military readiness capabilities through the design, development, and programmatic leadership of a military readiness and force management platform. This position will be fully remote and based out of Tyson's Corner, Virginia.

Your team will design and implement advanced systems as part of our multidisciplinary team of data engineers, analytics developers, software engineers, UI/UX developers, and military readiness subject matter experts. Together, we're creating an innovative platform that bridges cloud-based development with on-premises deployment, providing military decision-makers with unprecedented visibility into force readiness, resource allocation, and operational planning. • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives

• Coach and mentor junior Scrum Masters, team members, and stakeholders on Agile principles and practices

• Remove impediments and obstacles that hinder the team's progress

• Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure clear understanding of product backlog priorities

• Oversee multiple teams or larger, more complex projects

• Maintain metrics using project management tools to provide visibility on product plans, progress, and quality assurance

• Facilitate communication between the Scrum team and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals

• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment processes

• Remove impediments and obstacles that hinder the team's progress

• Bachelor's degree in an IT discipline, Business Administration, or a related field

• 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, with at least 2 years in a senior role

• Advanced Scrum certification (e.g., CSM, PSM II, or equivalent)

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum framework

• Proficiency in Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello)

• Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Experience with military or defense systems

• Strong leadership and change management skills

• Data-driven approach to Agile process improvement

• Experience with cloud-based development and on-premises deployment

• Understanding of DevSecOps practices

• Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of AI/ML implementation for decision support

• Experience working with international clients
