ROLE SUMMARY:
This individual will primarily be responsible for monitoring the outflow of capital for the company. They will work with internal and external parties to appropriately account for the company's expenditures along with taking on responsibilities as needed to support a high growth organization.


WHAT YOU'LL DO:


  • Download incoming invoices from the A/P inbox obtaining proper approval documentation, reviewing account coding, and accurately vouchering invoices into the ERP system.
  • Contribute to building the reputation of Accounts Payable through delivering superior customer service to all internal and external vendors by responding to vendor and employee inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate payment of vendors by processing weekly check runs.
  • Work closely with the Receiving & Procurement Departments to resolve all purchase order and invoice discrepancies.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and communicate and take action to correct any discrepancies.
  • Track expenses and book month end accruals and related journal entries.
  • Validate vendor banking information updates, address and name changes, etc. and ensure that the changes are made in the ERP system appropriately.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes as needed including audit requests.
  • Maintain various excel spreadsheets.
  • Participate in additional miscellaneous projects as required.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting
  • Experience with an ERP System



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Ability to work in a very fast paced, time-sensitive environment and effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Intermediate Excel skills required, advanced Excel skills highly desirable
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite, Adobe, and related tools
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written
  • Syteline ERP system highly preferred, but willing to train
  • Experience with 3 Way PO Matching
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance
  • Comfortable in a remote working environment

  • Billerica, MA (fully remote or hybrid position)
  • Travel to the Billerica, MA location may be required a few times each Quarter for on-site meetings.
