Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Configuration Management Support Specialist to assist our internal Configuration Management (CM) team with the release and tracking of engineering drawings, product labels, and technical documentation. This position plays a key role in ensuring data accuracy, version control, and document compliance across product development efforts.

You'll be responsible for maintaining databases, logging and releasing engineering documents, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and supporting change control activities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on organization, enjoys process-driven work, and wants to contribute to high-precision engineering operations in the aerospace industry.

Location: St. Petersburg, FL (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 Months
Pay Rate: $30-40 an hour
Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify the accuracy and revision level of engineering drawings prior to release, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and administrative change policies.
  • Create and submit Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) using configuration management tools for review and approval.
  • Manage the release process of technical drawings and source documents to appropriate digital libraries, ensuring correct version control.
  • Generate and maintain weekly status reports to track project progress and share updates with leadership.
  • Respond to internal requests regarding the status of documentation and support cross-functional teams in completing configuration tasks.
  • Track and organize all relevant documents, drawings, and data using established CM procedures
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of experience in configuration or data management, or a related engineering support function.
  • Basic understanding of configuration management principles and document control practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured internal procedures.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Experience submitting and managing ECNs/ECRs using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools such as SBM or TeamCenter.
  • Familiarity with engineering environments and change control processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, detail-focused setting.
