Job Overview

This position will be responsible for execution of cross functional Continuous Improvement initiatives within the plant. Key responsibilities include analyzing the current manufacturing state to identify improvement opportunities, executing improvement projects, and sustaining new and existing improvements.Opportunities can vary fromworking in Lean Manufacturing,Continuous Improvement, Safety, Quality andmore.

A Day In The Life

  • Key contributor for capital projects. Responsibilities include machine selection, cell layout, and financial justification. Will be working with operations, quality and product engineering to create and update control plans and engineering requirements for installation of equipment and production startup.
  • Participate in troubleshooting activities for various process issues that arise.
  • Compile project update reports and present to upper management concerning project timeline and budgets.
  • Assist in production cell layout to support new product launches.
  • Assist in new product validation and production preparation.
  • Use of lean engineering tools to design and optimize manufacturing processes for the improvement of existing products and introduction of new ones.
  • Participate in Kaizen events, sustainment activities and executing on lean improvement plans.
  • Assist in developing and implementing cost reduction initiatives through continuous improvement events.
  • Work with internal and external teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products and services.
  • Work with automation team to identify opportunities, plan, execute and control automation projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience



  • Require a minimum of 5 years' manufacturing experience
  • Preferred experience as a Lean or Manufacturing Engineer
  • Lean/ Six Sigma Certification preferred but not required
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environmentas necessary with demonstrated experience in both
  • Strong computer skills with preferred experience using CAD/related drawing software
  • Exposure to Lean and Quality Tools: DMAIC, Value Stream Mapping, 5S Implementation, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, 8D/Root Cause Problem Solving
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be capable of taking a project from start to finish
  • Must be punctual, reliable and have a good work ethic

  • BS degree in Engineering
