Enjoy working with a team while utilizing your creativity and impacting young people! As an Area Associate Representative, you will support our Northern California Yearbook Sales Representative while working with school yearbook staff, providing journalistic advice, creative guidance and critique, as well as technical training and support. Our Area Associate Representatives serve as mentors to both students and teachers, while also working as project managers to guarantee each publications success. Your efforts will be integral to the quality of each schools book, and the entire program supporting it. You'll be assigned a group of existing accounts to help our sales team grow. These schools will view you as part of the Walsworth team as a valued resource for creating their yearbook. Our customers will look to you for training, guidance, and troubleshooting on topics such as photography, design, making money, and keeping staff on task. COMPENSATION: Our Area Associate Representatives receive a competitive base salary. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Remote service customers through video conferencing * Travel and overnight staysas needed in defined sales area * Support customers through every aspect of yearbook production, including flowing portraits, indexing, virtual trainings on software, helping create completed spreads. * Prospect and sell additional schools on working with Walsworth * Teach and engage students while keeping on track with budgets and deadlines * Work independently to make daily schedules and support territories for sales representatives * Learn industry technology such as Salesforce and Walsworth's yearbook design software, Online Design. * Support lead sales representative in other duties, such as following up on holds and tech issues, social media postings, flowing portraits, etc. QUALIFICATIONS: * Minimum of an associate's degree required or high school diploma and relevant work experience * Experience with high school or college yearbooks is preferred * Competitive and driven personality with an influential spirit * Prior customer service and sales experience (ideally outside sales) * Ideal candidates will also have experience in related fields, such as: teaching, coaching, journalism, graphic design, photography or printing * Leadership experience and proven ability to keep people and projects on track * Creative thinking and advanced problem-solving skills * Excellent computer literacy skills and proficiency in Adobe design software * Strong communication and organizational skills * Willingness to establish a home office and work independently * Must have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for daily travel (vehicle expense account included as part of the compensation package) * Maintain confidentiality with respect to student data and customer accounts * Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, pass background check and drug test ABOUT US: In business since 1937, Walsworth Yearbooks is the only American family-owned yearbook publisher in the country.
