Role Summary:
Reporting to the Networking & Services Manager, the Networking & Datacom Inside Sales Representative position will be responsible for generating quotations and processing orders for Datacom and Network Products offered by partnering manufacturers sold and distributed by Kendall Electric. They will work directly with customers to assist with their requests and offer product and solution recommendations. Additionally, they will collaborate closely with manufacturers to ensure accurate pricing and delivery options, and interact with outside sales, network specialists, and other inside sales team members to ensure the entire sales process flows smoothly from start to finish. This role is ideal for a self-directed, team-oriented individual who excels at problem-solving and enjoys managing a wide range of responsibilities.
Exciting work you will do:
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Networking & Datacom Inside Sales Representative position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Provide customers with quotations based on BOMs or project lists
  • Assist customers in selecting products and solutions tailored to specific applications or projects
  • Offer alternative products and solutions to meet customer needs
  • Process and manage orders to ensure timely delivery
  • Collaborate closely with Kendall's Network Specialists to leverage technical expertise in product selection
  • Maintain records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints
  • Communicate and coordinate with sales colleagues, customers, and vendors as necessary
  • Participate in customer meetings as required
  • Maintain quality service by adhering to Kendall Group policies, procedures, and standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you'll need:


  • Work Experience: 2 years' customer service, sales or technical experience
  • Education: High School diploma or GED
  • Analytics/Computer Skills: Experience working with MS Office; ability to collaborate with and engage additional commercial or technical resources when appropriate; business acumen, including problem solving skills, critical thinking, and analytical abilities
  • Organization Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed; ability to work in fast-paced, continuously evolving environment
  • Cross-functional skills: Ability to work well cross-functionally; provides excellent internal and external customer service
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal communications, analytical and problem solving, organizational and written/verbal communication skills

Qualifications we prefer but don't require:

  • Work Experience: 3 years' experience with Industrial Automation, Network, or Datacom
  • Education: Associate or bachelor's degree
  • Analytics/Computer Skills: Proficiency with Network Switches, Cabling, and other Datacom products
