Job Overview:

The Medical Office Staff is seeking a meticulous and efficient Administrative Assistant to join the medical staff office team. The successful candidate will provide invaluable administrative support to ensure smooth operations within the department. As the primary point of contact, the ideal candidate will uphold a high level of confidentiality while interacting with various stakeholders, including physicians, nursing staff, and administration. This role will encompass license re-certifications, managing calendars, setting appointments, and executing assigned tasks with minimal supervision. Additionally, you will serve as the department's ambassador, embodying professionalism and exceptional communication skills.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Proven experience in a healthcare administrative role.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage calendars and schedule appointments effectively.
  • Excellent follow-up skills to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
  • Capacity to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in a medical staff office or similar healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
  • Additional certification or training in healthcare administration or related field.
  • Experience coordinating meetings and events within a healthcare environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multitask effectively.

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Shift Working: 8:30am-4:30pm
  • Day Shift, Monday-Friday
  • Full Time, 37.5 Hours Per Week
