About the Job

The Superintendent - Trades will be responsible for supervising Trades staff and ensure our scope in projects are delivered on time. This role requires excellent communication skills, collaborating with various people, such as construction workers, architects, and engineers. Implementing quality, health, and safety standards onsite is a must. If you are organized, open to driving new ideas and innovation, able to work well under pressure, and have experience in this field, we'd like to meet you.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Project Management and Coordination

  • Collaborate with engineers, trade partners, vendors, etc. to manage project needs

  • Plan construction processes; maintain performance goals and deadlines

  • Align with PM and keep project on time and budget

  • Respond to on-site issues, external requests, and unplanned events

Supervision and Quality Control

  • Supervise labor: performance, quality, presence

  • Implement safety and quality guidelines

  • Ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly

  • Punch list management

Regulatory Compliance and Safety

  • Plan and obtain inspections from local authorities

  • Implement safety and quality guidelines (also fits here)

Resource Management

  • Order the appropriate equipment and arrange for regular maintenance

Non-essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Work Experience, & Physical Requirements

  • 5 years previous experience as a Trades superintendent in a specific Trade

  • Knowledge of quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites

  • HSE w OSHA certification

  • In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes

  • Proficiency in MS Office and Procore

  • Organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to lead and motivate people
