Primary Purpose of Department |
The Office of OneIT provides highly reliable information technology infrastructure, tools and services to empower the University to achieve its academic, research, administrative and service goals. |
Primary Purpose of Position |
This position provides both technical and functional development across all technologies associated with the University's Salesforce and Marketing Cloud platforms.
This position engages with business stakeholders to gather/analyze requirements and maps them to solutions that leverage Salesforce and Marketing Cloud's software functionality; and to demonstrate Salesforce and Marketing Cloud development capabilities to solve business problems and produce supporting documentation. |
Summary of Position Responsibilities |
- Provides operational support, including administration of Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud systems, to ensure they are running and maintained in keeping with institutional standards and best practices.
- Supports ongoing requests for enhancement and optimization, aligns and prioritizes development tasks with the needs of stakeholders
- Acts as a point of business process and technical expertise related to Marketing Cloud email and CRM. Provide guidance to the business regarding email and CRM solution design and implementation.
- Acts as a point of technical expertise related to Marketing Cloud and Salesforce CRM systems capabilities and related technology.
- Supports ongoing development within an agile, iterative development methodology and contributes to all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Minimum Education/Experience |
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience, which
- Must include a minimum of 1+ years of experience developing applications for the Salesforce and Marketing Cloud platform, or the
- Equivalent combination of education and experience with a minimum of 1+ years of experience developing applications for the Salesforce and Marketing Cloud platform.

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience |
- Proven experience as a Salesforce Developer, with a strong focus on Marketing Cloud.
- Salesforce certifications, such as Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Developer, are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce APIs.
- Experience with Marketing Cloud tools, including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Mobile Studio.
- Strong understanding of CRM concepts and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
