Job Summary

The Senior Communications Specialist is responsible for leading the creation and management of Graniterock's multimedia content, ensuring high-quality storytelling and brand consistency across all communication platforms. This role will work closely with Company leaders, departments and external partners toensure alignment with Graniterock's Family Vision, Purpose, Core Values, strategic priorities and business objectives.

Essential Job Accountabilities

  1. Safety Before All Else: Comply, understand, and promote safety initiatives to ensure "Safety Before All Else."
  2. Video Production Management: Lead acquisition and production of all Graniterock video content, including drone footage, to support marketing, internal communications and events.
  3. Video Editing: Oversee and execute video editing projects, ensuring high-quality, engaging visual storytelling.
  4. Written Communications: Create written communication content for the company. This includes articles, press releases, internal announcements and marketing materials. Help manage the company's two newsletters.
  5. Photography: Lead acquisition and curation of Graniterock's photo content to ensure a comprehensive archive for Company use.
  6. Podcast Production: Manage recording and production of RockTalk: The Podcast, coordinating with hosts and guests to deliver engaging episodes.
  7. Technical Event Production: Oversee technical production elements for key Company events, including annual Leadership Conference, virtual town halls and other events to ensure seamless execution.

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate communications, media production or related role.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong video production and editing skills, with experience using software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or similar tools.
  • Proven ability to develop high-quality written content across multiple platforms.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience managing photography and visual content strategies.
  • Proficiency in podcast production and audio editing tools.
  • Knowledge of technical event production, including AV setup and live streaming.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.

Work Environment:
This position may require occasional travel to various Graniterock locations for content capture and event production. Evening and weekend work may be necessary to support events and time-sensitive projects.
