*Ideally would have Home Health Billing experience* *Must have General ledger experience* *Description* The Sr. Application Analyst is responsible for enhancing, supporting and maintaining an application(s) within the clients Health System with an emphasis on patient care impact, clinical outcomes and quality improvement. He/she optimizes the application through development of new clinical functionality, testing and implementing scheduled vendor releases and system upgrades and fixing system defects. He/she also serve as the resource for other application team members on technical and functional application analysis, defining system requirements and developing models using best practices for build and configuration, maintenance and data integrity. He/she. ensures system changes follow clinical workflow, change management procedures and protocols, create and maintain all documentation for all assigned applications and develop, plan and execute testing for supported applications. He/she communicates all necessary application changes, enhancements and procedures to all necessary internal and external department teams. 1. Provide ongoing maintenance, support and development to assigned applications and implement new products. 2. Troubleshoot, research, and solve technically challenging problems involving integrated systems. 3. Test and verify software releases, upgrades and any changes prior to the promotion of code to the production environment. 4. Generate and update appropriate documentation as per policy and procedure. Including requirements, specifications, change control, end user documentation. 5. Provide education and training for application end user community - keeping them informed of new release feature/functionality, changes/revisions that impact the operation. 6. Create and route required operational and management reporting needs as required by management and regulatory agencies. 7. Will interact and collaborate with all levels of healthcare personnel; IT Management, Clinicians, Consultants and Administrators. 8. Active member of project team coordinating project tasks and utilizing project management skills for specific tasks. 9. Level 3 support for Application related issues. 10. On-Call Support Required 11. Maintain current knowledge of technology by attending appropriate continuing education training/seminars and reading related periodicals. 12. Maintains confidentiality of all materials handled within the Network/ Entity as well as the proper release of information 13. Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding issues of employee, patient and environmental safety and follows appropriate reporting requirements. 14. Demonstrates/models the Network's Service Excellence Standards of Performance in interactions with all customers (internal and external) 15. Demonstrates Performance Improvement in the following areas as appropriate: Clinical Care/Outcomes, Customer/Service Improvement, Operational System/Process, and Safety. 16. Demonstrates financial responsibility and accountability through the effective and efficient use of resources in daily procedures, processes and practices 17. Complies with Network and departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code. 18. Performs additional duties dependent on department requirements. *Additional Skills & Qualifications* 1. Solid understanding of operational / clinical services and information / work flow of assigned areas. 2. Ability to analyze, diagnose, support and implement process/operational change. 3. Strong process improvement and project management skills. 4. Strong Customer Service Orientation and ability to follow through on issue resolution Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration or equivalent work experience is required. Epic experience and certification is required or must become certified in Epic for all applicable assigned applications. General: 3 - 5 years of Healthcare experience is required. Experience in the following areas preferred: *Ancillary, Clinical or Revenue Application experience is preferred. *PC/LAN Support experience is preferred. Application Experience: *MS Office is required *Experience with leading application solutions within a specified area and module (hospital, physician office, revenue cycle, business administrative) with Epic specific experience is highly preferred. Hospital Operations Knowledge / Experience: *General, Radiology, Pharmacy, Nursing, Physician Services, Laboratory, Patient Care Services, Patient processing experience preferred. *Experience Level* Entry Levelclients *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr.
