The construction of fairlife's manufacturing facility in Webster, NY is underway. This state-of-the-art, 750k sq ft, greenfield plant is expected to be operational in late 2025 and will lay the foundation for fairlife's next phase of growth as the leading dairy nutrition provider. While coupling the industry's latest technologies and fairlife's operational excellence to build this world-class facility, fairlife plans to hire 250 new employees and bring in approximately 5 million lbs. of milk a day, with room to grow over the coming years.

job purpose: The Project Manager-Warehouse has accountability for owning elements of the design, timeline, scope, budget, and vendor management for large, complex, or multi-location capital projects involving warehouse automation, maintenance, and asset management planning. This role will ensure commercialization projects create efficiency, deliver capacity, and drive operational savings. Accountabilities include design, construction, installation, commissioning, validation, and optimization post go-live.

responsibilities:

Engineering Project Support



  • Support the workstream leader by executing program-level strategies, schedules, and budget requirements for warehouse capital projects.
  • Own critical elements of the capital project process for warehousing, including design reviews, timeline control, budget management, and stakeholder communications.
  • Manage key vendors to ensure adherence to contracts, timeline control, effective collaboration with other workstreams, cost control, and quality of equipment / installation.
  • Participate in equipment final acceptance testing, punch list creation, and close out
  • Partner with other functions such as Operations, Quality, Safety, and Supply Chain to pilot and transition ownership of capital projects.
  • Build mathematical models to support business cases which drive decision making around sizing, throughput, financing, and future expansions.
  • Support for the integration of PLCs, HMIs, process controls, labeling and scanning hardware
  • Lead the design of key plant fit-out items, including visual displays, signage, PPE stations, 5S areas, and safety barriers.


Operations Readiness Support



  • Create (or refine existing) process flows for all key warehouse and maintenance functions.
  • Support the development and testing process of warehouse control systems with D365.
  • Become a D365 super user to support development of training materials and troubleshooting during testing and go-live.
  • Support commissioning for warehousing OEMs and system integrators by ensuring test materials are ordered and facility staffing is adequate.
  • Support the hiring, training and mentorship of key Warehouse Operations team members.
  • Lead reporting and communications with key Operations business partners.
  • Ensure all 'Best Practices', as defined by the business, are implemented within new facilities or line expansions.
  • Support our maintenance business partners by gathering, collecting, and cleaning OEM spare parts and maintenance routine data.
  • Develop KPIs with supporting calculations and data sources for packaging and processing areas, and support our Business Intelligence Teams in the implementation.
  • Support other operations readiness activities as required (e.g., temporary offices, lab fit out...)



skills/qualifications required:



  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related business degree
  • Exceptional project management capabilities
  • Expert in using MS Excel, AutoCad, and MS Project
  • Experience with food and beverage
  • Experience with demonstrating key PMO principles
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain, Packaging, WMS, WCS, AGV's and general automated warehouse technology and YMS (Yard Management Systems)
  • Strong cost management and forecasting experience and knowledge
  • Strong cross functional and total supply chain knowledge.
  • Knowledge in installation and construction standards.
  • High level of collaboration, influence, & communication skills
  • Recognized as a leader of people, particularly in non-reporting relationships
  • Ability to manage complexity and multiple workstreams
  • Background in Lean Six Sigma principles
  • Strong SharePoint, PMO 365 and Office 365 skills to develop and maintain project trackers and web hosted applications.
  • Strong verbal and written skills


working conditions and physical requirements:



  • 8 hours sitting/standing/walking per day.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
  • Office based role based at an active construction site with periodic exposure to heavy equipment, dust, and general construction environment.

  • Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy while in the Production Areas.
  • Perform all duties necessary to meet Company, Customer and/or Government requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company.
  • Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.
  • Identify and record any problems relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.
  • Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of Food Safety and Quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
  • In the event of absence, another employee with the same skill level will assume the duties and responsibilities as required.
