Division of Information Technology Job Description
The MU IT RSS team in the Division of IT enables productive research by providing IT services, support, and resources focused on research and researcher needs. MU IT RSS works in conjunction with other IT teams on the MU campus, and in collaboration with IT RSS at the Missouri S&T campus. The Manager for RSS Team Orchestration reports to the MU IT RSS Director and works alongside managers for high performance computing and specialized systems/support. This position provides operational leadership to ensure initiatives across IT RSS are well-managed for success. -Managing a team including Business (Research) Technology Analysts focused on research enablement and team orchestration. -Overseeing processes, tools, and personnel responsible for facilitating IT RSS initiatives. These may range from short-term internal efforts to cross-team, collaborative projects with external participants and stakeholders. -Coordination of communication, documentation, and outreach efforts facilitating research/IT engagement. -Overseeing development and refinement of metrics appropriate to each part of the team to be used by leadership in reporting and decision making. -Advising the Director and leadership team on matters to improve operations and objectives. A successful person in this position will be well-organized, able to communicate effectively in different contexts, inquisitive, creative, and self-motivated with a desire to be constructive. Candidates in this role will benefit from familiarity with academic environments, research, project management, and information technologies. This position can be fulfilled as on-premises or hybrid, typically with 1-2 days on-site per week. Transport to/from campus is not compensated. Shift
Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Five years of proactive experience and three years supervisory experience in a related field. Preferred Qualifications
Two years of responsibility managing projects and initiatives with varied stakeholders. Anticipated Hiring Range
