More about the role

This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as an Optical/Photometric Intern in Peachtree City, GA with Cooper Lighting Solutions, a business unit of Signify, the world leader in lighting.

  • Develop an understanding of the energy compliance data requirements and develop a test plan, in conjunction with our optical and photometric team to obtain the supporting information
  • Using 3D CAD models of the products, create the necessary physical configurations of lighting fixtures for the labs to test
  • Assemble and review related test data to ensure compliance to existing energy compliance requirements

More about you

While we value and appreciate all applicants, we believe that the following experience and skills will be needed to shine brightly in this job opening:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related discipline
  • Ability to navigate 3D models of lighting products (experience w/ SolidWorks is a plus)
  • Basic mechanical and electrical understanding and skills to assemble and wire lighting fixtures to match the desired configuration from CAD models
  • Quickly develop an understanding of the terminology and requirements of energy compliance requirements
  • Analytical skills to determine if resulting test data is meeting requirements

Pay Rate:$22 - $31 per hour (based on year of study)

This internship could lead to an at will full-time role in Signify.
