How this opportunity is different

As the Global Head of Executive Recruiting within our Global Talent Acquisition team, you will play a key role in collaborating with the Executive Leadership Team on highly confidential searches. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Talent Acquisition, you will work alongside our Sourcing Teams to conduct location analysis, drive inclusion initiatives, and deliver exceptional service to both our internal clients and candidates. This position offers high visibility within Aon and provides extensive opportunities for growth and development in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Your efforts will be instrumental in driving our company's growth and success by ensuring we have the right leaders in place to navigate future challenges and opportunities

What will your day look like

Each day will look quite different, working with executive-level leaders within the firm to grasp key business drivers and continually seek to understand how we can bring in talent that contributes to the success of the business. You will partner closely with the Regional Heads of Talent Acquisition on executive recruitment and aligned TA on strategy for talent as well as key partners, such as Chief People Officers, Total Rewards, Legal and others to ensure best-in-class service levels.

The Global Head of Executive Recruiting is a pivotal leadership role within our organization, responsible for steering the strategic direction and operational execution of executive recruitment on a global scale. This role is designed for a seasoned professional who excels in identifying, attracting, and securing top-tier executive talent to drive our business forward.

  • Build and implement innovative strategies for attracting and selecting top-tier executive talent across various markets and cultures
  • Lead and mentor the executive recruiting team across various regions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering professional growth
  • Partner closely with the Executive Leadership Team on highly confidential searches, as well as with key partners such as Chief People Officers, Total Rewards, and Legal to ensure best-in-class service levels. Developing positive relationships with senior leaders and establishing a solid understanding of strategic, financial objectives and how they relate to hiring needs
  • Be responsible for the operational execution of executive recruitment on a global scale, ensuring a seamless and efficient hiring process and continuous seek where to enhance the level of service we provide. This includes managing strategic partnerships with executive recruiting firms as needed
  • Foster a culture of building and maintain strong relationships with industry professionals, leveraging networks to identify potential candidates
  • Partner with the Sourcing and Coordination Teams to conduct location analysis, drive inclusion initiatives, and develop a robust talent pipeline to meet the company's executive hiring needs
  • Provide expert advice and direction to senior leaders on how to attract market-leading talent. Stay updated with market trends, compensation benchmarks, and talent movements within the industry
  • Enhance the company's employer brand to attract top executive talent and foster a strong talent pipeline.
  • Champion inclusion initiatives within the executive recruiting process.
  • Establish and track critical metrics to measure the success and efficiency of the executive recruiting function

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Extensive experience in executive recruitment in a global organization, with a proven track record of successfully placing senior-level executives including experience working in an executive search firm
  • Skilled in navigating executive recruiting standard methodologies, market trends, and talent landscapes
  • Ability to collaborating with senior leadership and HR teams to align recruitment strategies with business goals
  • Experience leading a recruitment team demonstrating the ability to lead, mentor, and develop team members
  • Demonstrated global recruitment leadership with strong critical thinking, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Experience working in a multinational environment and understanding of different cultural nuances in recruitment.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $170,000 - $200,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of New York. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.

A summary of all the benefits offered for that position:
