Internship State of Tennessee - Internship Information
The Tennessee Department of Revenue is responsible for the administration of state tax laws and motor vehicle titling and registration laws. The Department collects approximately 87% of state revenue, enforces the revenue laws fairly and impartially to encourage voluntary tax compliance, and apportions collections to the various state funds and local units of government. Job Overview:Under general supervision, is responsible for learning to perform paraprofessional tax auditing assistance work. An intern in this class learns to provide assistance and information to tax auditors in the examination of business records to ensure compliance with accounting and auditing principles and with state tax laws, rules and regulations.
