Position Title: Maintenance Technician
Wage: $22-$25/hour Shift: 3rd Hours: 10pm-6:30am QPS Employment Group is hiring a Maintenance Technician for a company in Waterloo, IA. This is a direct hire role. Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Survey building and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards - Perform maintenance of electrical systems, plumbing, and all other jobs required to keep equipment functioning properly - Conduct repairs on down equipment - Problem-solving and critical thinking skills - Conduct regular cleaning and preventive maintenance on equipment - Keep up to date maintenance records on all equipment - Assist with maintenance employee training and assessments - Order and maintain maintenance and facility supplies - Work with vendors - Complete assigned projects - Utilize eMaint to communicate and record progress on job duties - Operate floor scrubber - Perform forklift training and observations - Assist with lab support when asked - Perform tank cleanout - Operate and maintain scissor lift or boom lift when required - Maintain safety in accordance with company policies - Notify Maintenance Manager of any existing or potential safety issues - Wear designated PPE - Attend work on time and for scheduled hours each day - Support facility with on-call situations and/or emergency situations - Assist with additional maintenance tasks when requested Maintenance Technician Requirements: - Forklift certified - Train on lockout/tag and confined spaces - Basic electrical, mechanical, pipefitting, and welding - Good communication skills (verbal and written) - Bending, standing, and lifting QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
