JOB MISSION:

The Analyst, Consumer Insights & Analytics will work closely with multiple business functions to drive data-driven decisions across the go-to-market process at New Balance.

In this role, you'll leverage data to provide key insights that inform strategic decisions. You'll conduct competitive benchmarking, perform consumer research, and evaluate innovative methodologies to keep New Balance ahead of market trends. Your analytical skills will help optimize our go-to-market process, directly impacting revenue and margin. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decisions and contribute to the success of our global brand. This job is based at New Balance headquarters in the Boston area.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Execution and Analysis

  • Conduct analyses to support initiatives for the footwear and apparel categories at a seasonal cadence aligning to key go to market milestones
  • Complete extensive competitive landscape analysis by using internal dashboards and third-party retail intelligence tools to inform global and regional strategy
  • Conduct consumer research to inform merchandising strategy decisions
  • Evaluate new pricing technologies and methodologies
  • Support ad-hoc related projects as requested

Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Product Creation, Global and Regional Merchandising, Finance, and Demand Planning teams to gather the necessary data and intel to run analyses
  • Translate complex analyses into high-impact recommendations for key stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • 1-2+ years of professional experience in Consumer Insights and/or Management Consulting
  • Understanding of retail strategies, research methodologies, and consumer behavior
  • Experience with Syndicated Data Sources such as Circana/NPD, Euromonitor, Edited, etc.
  • Experience translating consumer insights into actionable business recommendations
  • Knowledge of statistical methods for analyzing quantitative data
  • A collaborative mindset and working style
  • Passion for the athletic footwear/apparel industry and the New Balance brand
  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in Statistics, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field

Flexible Work Schedule

New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
