Auburn University Libraries is seeking applicants for the position of Student Assistant to assist faculty and staff with daily library operations in the Innovation & Research Commons (I&RC) MakerSpace and VR Space.

| Essential Functions |
- Assist users with VR equipment.
- Assist with VR project development.
- Assist with 3D printing jobs submitted by users.
- Assist with 3D printing design using computer-aided design software.
- Assist with other MakerSpace projects as assigned.
- Assist in cleaning and tidying the MakerSpace.

| Minimum Qualifications |
Enrolled student at Auburn University
Expectations:
- Interest in public service and delivery of quality customer service.
- Be willing to work as a team member while interacting with faculty, staff, and students.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- Dependability, multi-tasking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Job frequently requires standing, walking, reaching, balancing, hearing, handling objects with hands, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.

Experience with 3D printing technology, VR development, computer-aided design software, or other maker technologies |
| Pay Rate |
$9.00/hour |
| Work Hours |
Students will work up to 20 hours per week depending on availability during the hours of 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday. |
