Maternal Fetal Sonography Fellow

Inova Loudoun Hospital - Antenatal Testing Center is looking for a dedicated Maternal Fetal Sonography Fellow to join the team. This role will be a Full Time Day Shift: Monday - Friday. Limited travel required to other locations for educational purposes

Maternal Fetal Sonography Fellow Job Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of maternal fetal ultrasound principles and theory as they pertain to the specialized area.
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of specialized fetal anatomy, pathology and physiology as well as the systemic effect of other systems
• Utilizes fetal anatomical knowledge to position patients to optimize image quality during examination while still providing for patient comfort and safety.
• Demonstrates critical thinking skills as well as the ability to enhance the procedure with additional modalities and views based on identified disease processes and fetal anomalies Independently utilizes analytical abilities to determine the selection of images that are presented to the physician for interpretation.
• Demonstrates the ability to accurately measure maternal fetal area structures and pathology to further determine the direction of the exam and identify fetal anomalies.

Maternal Fetal Sonography Fellow Additional Requirements:

• Work schedule: Monday - Friday
• Education: Degree from Accredited Sonography Training Program
• Licensure: Must be a Registered Medical Sonographer - OB/GYN
• Certification: Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association. Successful completion of the Inova Nuchal Translucency (NT) Program is required within 6 months for team members without the Nuchal Translucency Certification.
