The Position
We advance science so that we all have more time with the people we love. The Department of Translational Safety is responsible for the nonclinical safety assessment of all drug candidates in the portfolio of Genentech from the discovery phase up to support o marketed products. Translational Safety provides scientific leadership and plays an active cross-functional role in the drug development process. Within Translational Safety, Computational Toxicology is part of Predictive Toxicology and is a key component in providing analytics and informatics based support to the development of small molecule and biotherapeutics portfolio from clinical candidate selection up to post-marketing. Computational Toxicology is responsible for driving the development and uptake of computational approaches within the gRED organization. The team performs activities such as development of computational tools and models, as well as construction of databases, curation and analysis of various types of in vitro and in vivo data. This role works in close collaboration with other functions within the department as well as in cross-functional collaborations with computational experts in related disciplines such as computational chemistry, computational DMPK or gRED computational sciences. Relocation benefits are available for this posting. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $101,500-$232,900 (Senior Scientist) and $148,200-$275,200 (Principal Scientist) . Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
