Job Description

Visa is heavily investing in its Global Design Team to help support its growing digital product line. Visa Global Design is comprised of five specializations: Design, Design Engineering, Design Operations, Design Strategy, and Research & Accessibility. We are looking for a Designer to join our Loyalty Solutions team.

The Visa Loyalty Solutions Team collaborates with issuers, merchants, and third parties to design and manage marketing and loyalty programs that offer rewards, discounts, and statement credits tied to the use of Visa payment products.

About the Position

The Designer - Loyalty Product Experience Design will join a dynamic team of design, research, and product partners to support our clients' businesses through UX consulting, strategic contributions in prioritization discussions and comprehensive artifacts. This individual is a strategic experience designer with strong human-centered design thinking, prototyping, feedback facilitation, and presentation skills.

This ideal candidate should have a strong foundation of UX/UI design principles, a keen eye for detail, and a proven track record of delivering exceptional designs that meet the needs of users and the goals of the business. In this role this designer will develop a nuanced understanding of emerging digital payment trends as well as Visa's capabilities and services to effectively leverage the right products and services at the right time.

This designer is creative, curious, and hands-on, has a bias toward action and inspires others with their vision. We are looking for a talented designer who has an innate desire to experiment with different design approaches, techniques, and tools to push the creative boundaries of the payments industry.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects and small work units by coordinating tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.

  • Mentor junior staff by sharing knowledge, offering constructive feedback, and supporting their professional development.

  • Make independent design decisions with minimal supervision, ensuring high-quality outcomes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, to align designs with project goals and business objectives.

  • Design accessible and engaging digital experiences, advocating for users by prioritizing usability, inclusivity, and visual appeal.

  • Create and document design flows, wireframes, prototypes, and final designs to communicate ideas clearly and facilitate implementation.

  • Consult with engineers to ensure designs are correctly implemented, addressing technical constraints and finding solutions together.

  • Identify user needs through research and analysis, translating business goals into actionable product recommendations.

  • Develop new products using a digital-first mindset and modern techniques, such as minimum viable product (MVP) development and rapid prototyping.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

-Minimum of 6 months of work experience or a Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications

-2 or more years of work experience

including product, technology and design leadership teams.

-Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor

-Able to collaborate with business partners to build upon their vision using

sound design principles and identify key opportunities for improved user

-Demonstrates strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and

manage multiple projects

-Self-starter who brings energy and enthusiasm to the work environment

-Experience working in design consultancies, digital product teams, or

established startups which gives you a sense of how to interact with clients

and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Technical Skills

-4 years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work

experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MFA/MBA, etc.) -

preferably working in design consultancies, digital product, or established

startups

-4 years working as a product or digital designer as part of an in-house, agency,

or cross-functional design or innovation team

-Strong fluency in digital design software including Figma, FigJam, and Adobe

products

-Experience designing high-fidelity mockups, wireframes, and rapid prototyping

-Knowledgeable in human-centered design thinking, UX/UI principles, service

design, and user research

-Strong understanding of accessibility principles and best practices

-Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail

-Ability to communicate concepts and recommendations confidently to various

audiences

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 84,600.00 to 119,650.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
