The APC Educator will lead efforts to enhance employed clinician understanding of and engagement in value-based care and population health initiatives such as quality of care metrics, clinical documentation, and clinical affordability. This role is pivotal in fostering positive relationships with clinician peers, improving collaboration, and creating better healthcare outcomes for patients. The APC Educator will coach and work directly with clinicians within the employed space, focusing on planning, implementing, and monitoring process improvements around the quality progress of the patient population.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide general clinician education in Value-Based Care (VBC)
  • Deliver general and targeted clinician education in Quality, Risk Adjustment, and Affordability (QRAA)
  • Assist in recruitment and onboarding of new clinicians
  • Analyze reports and dashboards to develop and implement QRAA projects in collaboration with the Operations and Clinical leadership team

Required Qualifications:



  • Board Certified Advanced Practice Clinician
  • Medical Licensure in the State of New Mexico or ability to obtain prior to employment
  • DEA license or ability to obtain prior to employment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to build positive relationships and collaborate effectively with clinician peers
  • Experience in planning, implementing, and monitoring healthcare quality improvement processes


Preferred Qualifications:



  • 3-5 years of employment in a value-based clinical setting
  • 1-3 years of leadership experience

  • Excellent coaching and mentoring abilities
  • Analytical skills to interpret data and drive quality improvement initiatives
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

The salary range for this role is $104,500 to $156,000 per year. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
