Description

ACS Production Technician position involves construction of continuous air emissions monitoring systems for industrial clients. Must be willing to work in an outdoor shop or outdoors in industrial environments through a teamwork-based approach as a part of an installation crew. A Technician supports all basic aspects of a construction project including, but not limited to, equipment preparation and inventory, wiring and instrumentation, fabrication, quality control and documentation, and packing/shipping. Other aspects include shop maintenance, good housekeeping, troubleshooting and repairs

JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential Functions



  • Reading and interpret drawings
  • Build PLCs
  • Follow directions and execute them accordingly during project production
  • Operate hand tools: pneumatic, electric, and non-electric
  • Assist with troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and production of CEM systems in house, and keeping office/shop neat and organized

Physical Demands



  • Must be able to meet certain physical demands such as:

    • Consistent standing or walking
    • Consistent bending, crouching, or stooping
    • Frequent lifting of objects weighing up to 50 pounds
    • Climbing ladders and/or stairs
    • Use of tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity
    • Ability to distinguish between shades of color
    • Ability to operate an Aerial Lift from the platform or deck
    • Ability and Willingness to work at elevated heights on stack platforms up to 300 feet





Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Must be available to work 40 hours per week.

Travel

Occasional overnight stays for travel may be required

Preferred Education and Experience:



  • Safety oriented
  • Valid Driver's license
  • General knowledge of electricity 120/240 VAC
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Quick learning skills
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Enjoys challenges in an ever-changing work environment
  • Good customer relationship skills
  • Must be able to work independently and unsupervised
  • Must be able to competently work with the following hand tools: cordless drills, electric and pneumatic grinders, simple hand tools, saws, tape measure, ratchets, etc.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. The pay range for this entry-level role is $17-$21 per hour.
