Posting Summary |
The Industry Consultant Program allows working professionals whose primary role is in Human Resources to provide industry-specific career advice to undergraduate students. This program is designed to augment CES's traditional career advising services, enabling us to effectively meet a strong career advising demand while decreasing student wait times.
Provide 1:1 industry specific career advising to students in a virtual setting. Topics addressed are limited to the following: Resume Reviews, Interviewing Strategies, Job and Internship Search Techniques, and LinkedIn Coaching.
- Manage up to 4 virtual weekly appointments (2 hours total), Monday through Friday. Appointments are 30 minutes long using the Handshake Virtual video platform.
- Participate in a virtual training session and ongoing professional development check-ins once a month. Additionally, serve as valuable industry content experts for the current Career Success Strategists.
Stipend Pay for role is $1,625 per semester. |

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Currently working as a professional in a Human Resources capacity (i.e. early talent acquisition, hiring, training, etc) within one of our 6 career interest communities. *Preference is given to higher appointment demand areas, including Engineering and Tech, Business & HR, Health & Life Sciences.
- Well-versed in resume development, interviewing strategies, and contemporary job/internship search techniques.
- Must be able to commit to 2 hours per week virtually.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Comfortable working in a virtual setting, interacting 1:1 with student clientele.
Preferred Qualificiations
- 2 years of experience recruiting entry-level undergraduate talent for internship and/or full-time positions and/or 2 years of experience working with the undergraduate student population in an advising capacity.
- Familiarity with the Handshake Platform.
