Job Description:

We're actively seeking an entry level Capability Specialist Business Resilience to join our Operational Risk & Resilience team in Newport Beach, CA. This role can be on-site or hybrid.

As a Capability Specialist Business Resilience, you'll play a role in supporting the Business Resilience service by assisting with oversight and monitoring of risk associated with business continuity/disaster recovery as well as third party vendor relationships. This position requires good communication and organizational skills and an ability to work collaboratively within the team and across various departments to ensure effective delivery of the service. Additionally, this position will be responsible for authoring and maintaining desktop procedures as well as operational metrics, so written communication skills and attention to detail are critical. You will fill a new role that sits on a team of team of 35 people in the Operational Risk & Resilience department, which is a subset of Enterprise Risk Management. Your colleagues will include Service Owners, Service Managers, Service Leads, and Capability Leads within 3 teams: GRC, Operations, and Engineering as supported by OR&R Service Leads who function as liaisons to the 1st line of defense.

How you will make an impact:

  • Support the Business Resilience Service Lead and cross-functional teams by ensuring timely completion and conducting reviews of Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP) to identify gaps against standards
  • Coordinate tasks and communication for third party due diligence reviews between the internal procurement team, an external business partner, and other stakeholders
  • Report third party due diligence escalations to the Service Lead for resolution
  • Compile and report metrics for Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Create and maintain desktop procedures

The experience you will bring:

  • 0-2 years of experience in risk management principles or business continuity planning
  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience related to risk management, business resilience, or third party risk management
  • Strong analytical skills, good communication abilities, and a willingness to learn risk assessment tools and methodologies

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$36.05 - $44.06
