Toddler Teacher

The Teacher is a highly interactive role responsible for the care and education of children. The Teacher always supervises and ensure the safety and well-being of the children. Plans curriculum for the children in the classroom that is developmentally appropriate and helps children develop physically, cognitively, emotionally, and socially. The Teacher is responsible for implement the daily program.
Educational Requirements:

· A teacher shall be at least twenty (18) years of age and meet one of the following requirements:

• An associate’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in early childhood education or early childhood development; or
• An associate’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university, at least fifteen (15) credit hours from an accredited college or university in early childhood education or early childhood development, and at least one (1) year of supervised experience working with children in a licensed District of Columbia Child Development Center or it's equivalent in another jurisdiction; or
• At least forty-eight (48) credit hours from an accredited college or university, at least fifteen (15) credit hours from an accredited college or university in early childhood education or early childhood development, and at least two (2) years of supervised experience working with children in a licensed District of Columbia Child Development Center or its equivalent in another jurisdiction;
