The APR Project Procurement Senior Manager will be responsible for providing overall program management including developing and managing the project procurement execution, lead customer interface, manage multiple projects and opportunities for APR Projects within various global regions (e.g Czechia, KSA, etc.) supporting the Energy Systems Portfolio and reporting on program performance and oversight for projects. This role will require extensive partnering across WEC to develop a multi-project strategy to deliver on multiple projects in parallel.

As part of the Energy Systems Global Supply Chain Solution (GSCS) Team, the candidate will preferably have a strong technical and project management knowledge.

Project leader responsible for large scale Procurement Projects, working with cross-functional teams and standard work to build, execute and report project implementation plans. Lead all procurement activities in assigned programs to assure readiness for pre-PO and post PO to ensure predictive delivery during execution. The Senior Manager will oversee all the procurement activities (pre-PO and post-PO) for Energy Systems projects for the APR Project opportunities.

Partner with other project leads, WBS Director and other functional teams to assist with projects charter, benefits, and resource requirements. Responsible for monitoring active projects, updating status, eliminating roadblocks, and escalating issues as appropriate. Investigate, coordinate and communicate project changes. Support the input from clients and development of a sourcing plan that will minimize risks, generate savings, and ensure predictive delivery through projects execution.

As part of the Energy Systems Delivery Stream Team, the candidate will preferably have strong project management skills and be able to work and develop teams with strong procurement skills (RFx, Supplier Relationship, Contract Management) and technical background (i.e. mechanical, electrical, etc.) to purchase equipment and services. The candidate is a direct interface to our internal customers: Business Unit, Engineering, Quality and Sales Departments as well as external customers on the Energy Systems contracts. Strong relationship skills are required towards suppliers with the goal to provide clear, timely and innovative solutions to the organization's requests.

Your Day to Day:



  • Development of sourcing & procurement strategies and plans together with Offer and Project Teams. Identify and capture the demand, identified potential suppliers and establish a communication channel towards the suppliers.
  • Support Commercial Teams with execution of sourcing strategies to achieve business goals while driving continuous improvement:

    • Coordination of the RFx Process and establish sourcing strategies for suppliers and services
    • Guidance of Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA)
    • RFx development and preparation, definition of commercial conditions
    • Solicit quotations and analyze contract proposals while leading formulation of strategy and negotiation of pricing, delivery, terms and conditions to satisfy requirements for highly complex and specialized materials, equipment, components and services.
    • Leading Contract preparation and purchasing process


  • Analyze and evaluate all elements of cost for commodity groups to identify and obtain cost improvements. Develop strategies and tactics to maximize supplier base cost/value.
  • Develop and maintain extensive relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders while mediating and resolving contract performance issues.
  • Utilize the corporate ASL & QSL Process for sourcing requirements.
  • Understand all the key operational & commercial elements of suppliers such as, but not limited to: Financial Stability and Objectives, Global/Regional Presence, Available Capacity, Top customers, and Top competitors and keep the Supply Chain Organization and business stakeholders informed of supplier capacity/performance and market constraints for future plans and actions
  • Understanding of supplier capacity, capability and manufacturing processes compared to project technical requirements in collaboration with Supplier Performance Organization.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirement and Westinghouses Procurement policies and procedures
  • Ensure matrixed team manages supply and supplier commitments after purchase order or contract is made, including change and contract management. Understanding and analyzation of the entitlement and cost basis, supporting negotiation, drafting agreements on changes and reflecting the change in the System (SAP, etc.)


Who You Are:



  • BA/BS engineering (preferred) or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience, typical 10-15 yearsof procurement project management experience and including experience withlarge and complex projects (experience in contract/project administration, preferably of large, complex engineering, procurement, and construction projects)
  • Demonstrated leadership skills across cultures, languages and locations
  • Ability to develop and maintain long term productive relationship with supplier (SRM)
  • Experience in International Sourcing and knowledge of supplier base for the Nuclear sector is a plus.
  • Microsoft Project Expertise or similar systems a plus
  • Experience running large and complex cross-functional projects
  • ERP system or similar system experience in a global environment is beneficial (SAP & Ariba)
  • Ability to travel from 10 to 20%
