POSITION SUMMARY -Responsible for conducting transactions for the procurement of manufacturing materials, tools, supplies, and services. Maintains a clean and organized stockroom with adequate inventory levels. Maintains up to date vendor contacts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, RESPONSIBILITIES, OR JOB DUTIES -

* Order parts, tools, supplies and services from established vendors, obtain quotes negotiate purchases with respect to prices, discounts, quality, quantity, and delivery date, etc. * Research parts and equipment for maintenance employees and source new vendors and products * Travel to various suppliers to pick up orders/supplies * Responsible for inventory management and stockroom cleanliness/organization * Responsible for all purchase & delivery documentation and maintaining SDS's - * Other duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS -

* Must possess good oral and written communication skills * Computer literacy is required * Must have excellent organizational ability and attention to detail * Valid driver's license is required

EXPERIENCE

* Must have knowledge of maintenance supplies and general tools, hardware, grease, oils, paints and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

WORKING CONDITIONS - Describe the environment within which the function is performed (indoors, outdoors, temperature, humidity, moving machinery, fumes, chemicals, travel, noise, etc.). May work in conditions that are cold, hot, humid, and wet. May work around and with chemicals, solvents, oils, and acids. Some exposure to high noise levels and moving mechanical parts. Operation of motor vehicles and driving in unfavorable weather conditions including ice/snow.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS - Describe the job expectations regarding workplace safety (i.e. hazards, protective equipment such as earplugs, bump cap, safety glasses, etc.). Employees are required to utilize bump cap and eye protection in all areas outside of the offices or break area. Hearing protection, hair net/beard net, slip resistant shoes required in certain areas during production season. Employees must be knowledgeable of all safety policies and procedures.

ACCOUNTABILITY -. Employee decisions are based on maintaining human/product safety, product quality, production requirements, and company cost effectiveness. Requires communication and contact with all department managers. Vendors for maintenance materials, supplies, tools and services.

Hourly: $25.16-$26.86
