Job Description

Albemarle is hiring for a Corporate Finance Senior Accountant. This position is hybrid and located in Charlotte, NC.

What You Will Do

• Bring creativity and curiosity to our talented team
• Utilize your strong accounting knowledge and can-do attitude to collaborate with your team
• Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and rollforwards
• Prepare fluctuation analyses to understand and explain changes in account balances over time
• Research and consider the accounting for special projects and transactions
• Support tie outs and disclosure analyses for SEC reporting and regulatory reporting
• Team with and support internal and external audit teams
• Guide system implementations and SAP upgrades
• Use creativity to problem solve and suggest opportunities for improvement
• Leverage artificial intelligence and make recommendations on how use of AI can be expanded

What You Bring

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience in addition to a degree
• Strong interpersonal skills, superior intellect
• Proven ability to work in fast-paced, detailed, and deadline-oriented environment
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel
• Financial analysis and critical thinking skills, oral and written communication skills, and presentation ability
• Team player with flexibility to shift priorities

Preferred:

• SAP & BPC experience
• 2+ years of public accounting experience
• CPA
