Systems Operations Architect

The Business Technology department is responsible for managing the enterprise infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security across hybrid environments. The team leverages cloud platforms, automation, and best practices to optimize business operations.

We are seeking a Systems Operations Architect to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our hybrid enterprise infrastructure. This role involves managing enterprise systems, cloud platforms, automation, monitoring, and disaster recovery solutions while ensuring operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader who fosters innovation, mentors team members, and enhances overall system reliability. This role will be responsible for the comprehensive solution design and deployment. A successful candidate will provide a strategic perspective on all Risepoint solutions, current and future, and advise the business on which options to pursue. This role involves ensuring that systems are scalable, secure, and efficient, while also aligning with business goals and requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Systems Architecture & Design: Lead end-to-end lifecycle management of critical systems, from conceptual design to integration and optimization.Standardize and refine architecture, documentation, and operating procedures. Create comprehensive IT architecture models that integrate seamlessly with theorganization's operations.

• Infrastructure Management: Oversee Windows, Linux, and Mac ecosystems;manage virtualization platforms and cloud network components. AdministerMicrosoft 365 services, including Intune, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, andOneDrive

• Automation & Cloud Services: Develop and implement automation strategiesusing PowerShell, Python. Design scalable solutions leveraging cloud platforms(Azure, AWS, and GCP)

• Networking & DNS Management: Administer and maintain DNS records, ensuringaccurate name resolution and domain management across internal and externalenvironments. Oversee cloud networking in AWS and Azure, including VPCs, VNets,subnets, peering, firewalls, and routing configurations. Troubleshoot network and DNS related issues and optimize connectivity, security, and performance.

• Monitoring, Backup & Disaster Recovery: Utilize advanced monitoring tools tomaintain system health and ensure proactive issue resolution. Lead backupstrategy and conduct disaster recovery tests

• Technical Support & Mentorship: Act as an escalation point for complex technicalissues. Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of collaboration andtechnical excellence.

• Operational Excellence & Security: Drive continuous improvements in systemperformance, security, and operational efficiency. Implement security bestpractices and ensure compliance with IT policies

• Project Work: Lead and contribute to IT projects, such as cloud migrations, systemupgrades, and infrastructure optimizations. Collaborate with cross-functionalteams to achieve project goals. Work closely with stakeholders to understand anddocument system requirements.

• On-Call & Incident Response: Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support when necessary. Ensure timely resolution of critical systemincidents. Identify and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree Information Technology, ComputerScience, or related field

• 8+ years' Experience in systems engineering,cloud infrastructure, automation, andsecurity

• Microsoft Azure/AWSCertifications

• Windows/Linux Administration

• Microsoft O365 Management

• Cloud Management (AWS, Azure GCP)

• Scripting & Automation(PowerShell, Python, Terraform,Ansible)

• Network & SecurityFundamentals

• Monitoring Tools (e.g New Relic,Pingdom, CloudWatch)

• Backup & Disaster Recovery

• On-call Support and Rotation
