We currently have an opening for a Research Technician I in the lab of Dr. Cagla Eroglu at Duke University. The Eroglu Lab investigates the cellular and molecular mechanisms that underlie synaptic connectivity in the CNS. They aim to understand how astrocyte-neuron communication shapes neuronal circuitry in the normal mammalian brain and how problems in astrocyte-neuron communication contribute to the pathophysiology of neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders. About the Role: We are seeking curious, determined candidates who are passionate about the field of neurobiology, working with others, and have a highly developed desire for continuous learning. Ideally, we are looking for candidates interested in staying in this role for at least two years before moving on to their next opportunity, such as attending graduate school. What We Provide:

Physical Requirements Remaining in a normal seated or standing position for extended periods of time; reaching and grasping by extending hand(s) or arm(s); dexterity to manipulate objects with fingers, for example using a keyboard; communication skills using the spoken word; ability to see and hear within normal parameters; ability to move about workspace. Compensation Range $16.73 (minimum) - $20.94 (midpoint) - $27.21 (maximum)Pay Type: HourlyHHMI's salary structure is developed based on relevant job market data. HHMI considers a candidate's education, previous experiences, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal consistency when making job offers.
