Janitor Part-time

Tessera is seeking a hard working and motivated part-time Janitor with a positive/can-do/ attitude. Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Follow industrial safety guidelines, apply safety trainings, and promote a safe workplace culture at all worksites. Communicating with customers - always be courteous and communicate professionally when talking with customers. Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and replenish supplies in accordance with contract standards; follow cross contamination procedures. Sweep, wet/dry mop, vacuum, and dust offices, halls and high traffic areas, door entries, stairwells, building entrances/exits, etc. in accordance with contract requirements, standards, and schedule. Trashing - collect and remove trash and recyclables from lunchrooms, coffee areas, restrooms, shower/locker areas, and office spaces in accordance with contract requirements, standards, and schedule. Restocking supplies - restock supplies daily. Cleaning showers - clean all shower stalls, damp wipe for dust, restock supplies, mop floors following cross contamination procedures. Maintaining janitor lockers (J-lockers) - must practice good housekeeping in accordance with EM 385-1-1 requirements by cleaning and organizing J-lockers daily. Clean and rinse all equipment before storing. Wet/dry vacuum - operate wet/dry vacuum for each area according to schedule. Lock doors after cleaning. All other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma/GED required 0 - 3 years of previous custodian or janitorial experience preferred Combination of experience and education will be considered
Physical Requirements: Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties. Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required. Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
Requirements:
A valid state driver's license is preferred with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance. Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position. Transportation to and from work may be negotiable, depending upon the circumstances.
