Requisition Id14863 Overview: This position requires conducting research in robotics, with a focus on the automated disassembly of hydrogen fuel cells. The researcher will lead ORNL's efforts to become a leader in automated disassembly by advancing research in commercial and technological solutions for de-manufacturing to enable material and component reclamation and/or recycling. Purpose: The Department of Energy's Manufacturing Demonstration Facility and the Systems Automation and Monitoring Research (SAMR) Group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) seeks a capable researcher to conduct projects, expand research capabilities, and manage R&D in support of the manufacturing R&D portfolio. The specific focus of this position is research in robotics and automated hardware disassembly. Major Duties/Responsibilities:

Special Requirements: Applicants cannot have received their PhD more than five years prior to the date of application and must complete all degree requirements before starting their appointment.
