Primary DetailsTime Type: Full time Worker Type: Employee This opportunity is accountable for identifying, leading, and executing opportunities for innovation and continuous improvements for business processes. Create process efficiencies across all disciplines to improve the team's efficiency through streamlined process improvement, coordinated service delivery, and an improved employee experience. Support operational governance for processes and vendors owned by the People Operations team (i.e. talent acquisition operations, service delivery, etc.). Develop and conduct consistent risk & control assessments per established process. Guide remediation activities to help manage risks, issues and controls to ensure compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

Continuous Improvement & Service Delivery Support

  • Review and evaluate all business processes and policies

  • Identify key priorities and make relevant improvements to ensure operational excellence and legislative compliance as well as ensuring they are fit for purpose

  • Identify and deliver service improvement activity across the function by employing process improvement methodologies and the application of innovative thinking

  • Support long term effectiveness of process improvements by working with leaders to establish, monitor and evaluate key performance indicators and support the development of best practices and procedures to align with team objectives

  • Monitor and support escalations for any issues impacting service delivery to the People function or to our customers (QBE employees)

  • Support the review and testing of changes or enhancements to Workday (people information system) impacting our division

  • Collaborate with both global and local teams

Risk Management

  • Undertake the day-to-day identification, measurement, mitigation and reporting of risks in accordance with the Risk Management Framework requirements

  • Report issues and manage the entry and update process into the risk and controls system

  • Coordinate review of existing issues and incidents to ensure they are being managed in line with risk management standards (i.e. root cause analysis, remediation, etc.)

  • Communicate with the Risk Partner to ensure quality of issue documentation, root-cause analysis, rating, cross-functional dependencies, legal/compliance engagement, risk treatment action plans and appropriateness of target dates

  • Support the identification of key risks and proper escalation where there are control gaps by ensuring the control environment is both designed and operating effectively

  • Serve as point of contact for the regulatory compliance matters impacting the team

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Necessary Qualifications include:

  • Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Preferred Experience

  • Risk, Compliance or Data Analyst experience

Preferred Knowledge

  • Business acumen

  • Advanced working knowledge of applicant tracking systems, digital and virtual platforms to attract, engage and build rapport with potential candidates

  • Advanced working knowledge of candidate management databases, such as Workday

  • Principles and procedures for executive recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems

Compensation Package: The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate's professional background, including their education and experience. Beyond the base salary, regular full-time and part-time employees will also be eligible for QBE's annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance.We encourage all candidates to apply, even if their salary expectations fall outside of this range, as we are committed to finding the right fit for our team.
