Pharmacy Technician

Position Summary

The Inpatient Pharmacy Technician position functions to assist the licensed pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical services to patients and necessary services and information to nursing and medical staff. These services include:

• Preparation and packaging of medications

• Distribution of medications, supplies, and equipment

• Maintaining proper inventory levels

• Ensuring medications are in date and secure

• Keeping appropriate records and documentation

• Responsible for supporting initiatives of area supervisors and managers.

Must complete PTCB certification within 9 months of hire, unless current PTCB certificate is in place upon hire.

Minimum Required Qualifications

High School graduate or equivalent. Certified Pharmacy Technician. 0 years of relevant experience required. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
