Security Officer - Education Site

As a Security Officer - Education Site in Palo Alto, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. This is primarily a driving post, where you will conduct routine patrols and interact with students, staff, and visitors, offering exceptional customer service and clear communication. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always acting with integrity and putting people first.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to clients, following site-specific policies and procedures, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational facility and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions as required by the site.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents within the location.
• Assist in helping to deter unauthorized access and potential disruptions by maintaining a visible presence during patrols.

Minimum Requirements:

• California Security Professional Guard Card required.
• A valid driver's license in the state of employment is required.
• A valid driver's license meeting Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements is required.
• At least 6 months of security experience is required.
• Primarily driving post experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
